When Play Has a Purpose!

For Occupational Therapists Rachel Griffen and Mary Isiminger, playtime rules! But behind every game, obstacle course, or creative activity is a carefully planned therapeutic goal. Their top priority is helping children reach their full potential—at home, in school, and in the community.
This is the heart of pediatric occupational therapy. While it may look like play, every task is intentionally designed to help children build crucial life skills. From motor coordination and emotional regulation to daily routines and social interaction, therapy sessions are fun, focused, and full of impact.
Since 2021, St. Vincent Health pediatric occupational therapy has served families from Lake, Chaffee, Eagle, and Summit Counties, and beyond.
Rachel and Mary provide specialized care for children with a wide range of needs, including:
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Seizure Disorders
- Cerebral Palsy
- Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and more
As students head back to school, developmental or behavioral challenges often become more apparent. If your child struggles with learning, focus, emotional regulation, or daily tasks—and you’re unsure where to turn—Rachel and Mary are here to help. They begin with a thorough assessment and collaborate closely with families to create personalized treatment plans.

We are especially grateful to the Leadville ELKS, whose generous support in 2023 helped fund a beautiful new pediatric occupational therapy space at St. Vincent Health. Their contribution is already making a difference in the lives of local children.
