When you or a loved one need outpatient nursing care - it is available locally by highly trained and skilled providers.
St. Vincent Health helps reduce the burden of traveling to regional healthcare facilities so you can concentrate on your health.
Outpatient Nursing Services can perform procedures as ordered by your doctor, whether they practice in Leadville or elsewhere.
Our unique small hospital environment creates the benefit of increased flexibility in scheduling, including nights and weekends. This environment offers abundant on-site support if needed, with additional nurses, EMTs, paramedics, an ER physician, and radiology and laboratory services.
- Infusion (IV) Therapy
- Monoclonal antibody (MAB) drugs
- Rituximab (Rituxan), cetuximab (Erbitux), adalimumab (Humira), infliximab (Remicade), secukinumab (Cosentyx), etc
- IV hydration
- Blood transfusions
- Antibiotics
- Other medications such as: Nulojix, Ocrevus, Albumin, Reclast, Orencia
- We cannot infuse chemotherapy at this time
- Monoclonal antibody (MAB) drugs
- Subcutaneous (SQ) or Intramuscular (IM) injections
- Infusion (IV) Therapy
- Allergy shots
- Central line (PICC, midline, implanted port) maintenance + dressing changes
- Wound Care by our experienced and certified RNs, including but not limited to:
- Chronic wounds: venous stasis, diabetic ulcers, pressure injury, surgical wounds
- Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT or “wound vac”)
- Advanced Wound Care product
- Placenta/amniotic membrane allografts
- Bovine/porcine collagen matrix
- Therapeutic Phlebotomy (for hereditary hemochromatosis or polycythemia)
