St. Vincent Health Offers Visiting Cardiology

The image shows Dr. Parth Makker with short, dark hair, smiling while wearing a suit and tie against a neutral background.

Dr. Makker was drawn to cardiology because it blends science, problem-solving, and building long-term relationships with patients. He enjoys helping people understand what’s happening with their hearts and working together to improve how they feel and live their daily lives.

He is passionate about expanding access to high-quality heart care in mountain communities. Dr. Makker currently sees many patients who travel long distances to the Denver region for cardiology services and is committed to helping close that gap by bringing specialty care closer to home while maintaining excellent clinical outcomes.

The most rewarding part of Dr. Makker’s work is building trust with patients over time. He believes good care starts with listening and takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain options clearly, and make decisions together so patients feel informed, respected, and supported.

Dr. Makker is drawn to St. Vincent Health because of its strong connection to the Leadville and Lake County community. He spends much of his free time in the mountains throughout the year and values supporting rural communities by improving access to specialty care close to home.

He is passionate about delivering high-level care to patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias and advancing the field of Cardiac Electrophysiology through ongoing academic research.

Outside of work, Dr. Makker enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, skiing, hiking, swimming, running, and exploring the outdoors.
