Olivia Reiser, M.S., CCC-SLP

Olivia Reiser brings a passion for helping people find their voice to the Speech Therapy team in St. Vincent Health’s Rehab Department. Originally considering careers in nursing or education, Olivia discovered speech-language pathology after shadowing an early intervention therapist. She was drawn to the opportunity to work collaboratively with children and their families to support communication and development.
Olivia earned her B.S. in Communication Disorders and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln—“Go Big Red!” Originally from Burke, South Dakota, she came to Leadville for its incredible access to the mountains and outdoor recreation. She has worked with Lake County School District for two years and is now beginning her third year, while also bringing her expertise to St. Vincent Health.
Olivia provides speech therapy for children, addressing speech sound production, expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency, voice, and augmentative and alternative communication. She also provides parent coaching to help families support communication and language development at home. At St. Vincent Health, she works with patients and caregivers to improve communication, cognitive function, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life.
“Everyone deserves a voice to communicate their wants, needs, wishes, hopes, dreams, and ideas with others,” comments Olivia.
She sees this as the most rewarding part of her job. Her philosophy of care centers on collaboration—bringing together providers, caregivers, and communication partners to support the best possible outcomes for each patient.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys being outdoors with her dog, spending time with friends, and “boogieing” to live music. She says she truly loves being part of the Leadville community and is excited to serve that community in another way through her work at St. Vincent Health.
