Not many people can say they were born in Leadville. Jim Morrison can.

4 generations of Morrisons have called Leadville home.  Jim Morrison's commitment to Lake County and Leadville is as deep as his family roots. He has first-hand knowledge of the challenges rural communities and hospitals face.

Jim started his career in the healthcare industry in 2001 at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco Colorado. He transferred to St. Vincent Health in 2016 and retired in early 2025. Before retiring in 2025 Jim served as the facilities director and owners representative on the 2021 replacement hospital.

He also served as a Lake County Commissioner from 1997 – 2000 and has a good understanding of local government and this community.

With extensive knowledge of St. Vincent Health, Jim looks forward to serving on the Board and working together with the hospital staff to meet the healthcare needs of the community.

Jim and his wife, Amy, live in Leadville; they are parents and grandparents and love traveling to see the kids! Jim finds further joy in his garage working on automotive projects.
