The St. Vincent Health Imaging Department: skilled and compassionate professionals.
With just one visit to St. Vincent Health’s imaging department you’ll discover how professional and personable our team is. SVH’s screenings are read by renowned radiologists at Colorado Imaging Associates and delivered to your provider quickly.
Ultrasound
Very high-frequency sound waves produce an image of many of the internal structures of the body. This procedure is painless and produces very precise images of certain parts of the body. We offer obstetrics imaging, abdominal imaging, vascular, arteriovenous fistula surveillance and assessment, vein mapping, and more.
CT Or CAT Scan (New State-Of-The-Art CT Scanner Purchase in 2021)
A computerized tomography (CT) scan combines a series of x-ray images around the body and viewed at different angles to output cross-sectional images of bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues in the body. The benefit of a CT scan is that it provides more detailed information than a simple x-ray.
A CT scan is used to visualize nearly all parts of the body and is used to diagnose disease or injury, or for informing medical, surgical, or radiation treatment.
X-ray
An X-ray is a short, painless exam that produces images of bones and other structures inside the body. Walk-ins for x-rays are welcome with a provider’s order.
Bone Density Scan (DEXA Scan)
A DEXA scan measures bone mineral density and is a tool used to detect osteoporosis. With bone loss, the outer shell of a bone becomes thinner and the interior becomes more porous. Normal bone is strong and flexible; osteoporotic bone is weaker and subject to fracture. Prevention and treatment of osteoporosis minimize the risk of fracture of the spine, hip, or wrist.
