St. Vincent Health

Looking toward the future, St. Vincent General Hospital District has embraced the concept of a health campus where specialists, primary care, Lake County Public Health Agency, and other health-related offices reside in the old hospital building and synergistically complement services in the adjacent, new hospital facility.

New Hospital Doesn’t Mean More Expense to SVH Patients

Many of our patients have been asking: Will the cost of medical services increase because of St. Vincent Health’s new hospital building?

The short answer? No. Our priority is to continue providing healthcare that is attainable for all patients.

The question is understandable.  Normally, with other types of businesses when there is a new building or a remodel, consumers see prices rise to help cover that cost.

This is not the case with the new St. Vincent Health state-of-the-art hospital.  Patient co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and charges do not fluctuate based on our expenses.  Additionally, the new space allows for new services like surgical services, pain management clinic, and more. This increase in services  sustain the new facility financially, and not an increase in charges to patients.

At St. Vincent Health we are committed to price transparency. Check our online cost estimator tool to research procedures and associated costs. You may also also call our billing office at 719-486-7172 to inquire about costs and financial assistance programs at St. Vincent Health.
